Who we are
DK Play is an Android movie and TV catalog app published by Wolf Systems. This policy explains what the app does with information when you install and use it. Package name: com.wolfsystems.dkplay.

Information the app uses
You can browse titles without creating an account. Depending on what you do in the app, these categories apply:
- Catalog searches. Words you type in search are sent to The Movie Database (TMDb) so the app can show matching movies, series, and people. Posters and backdrops are loaded from TMDb’s image servers and cached on your device.
- Device identifier. The app reads the Android ID, keeps it in memory, and creates a salted SHA-256 hash. A short numeric ID is derived from that hash. The hash can be sent to Wolf Systems services to recognize the device for account, points, and rewards features. We do not use the raw Android ID as the stored account key.
- Account details, if you sign in. Name, email address, player ID, points, level, and review count that you or the service provide. A session token is stored in encrypted storage on the device.
- Reviews and ratings you choose to submit.
- Watchlist. Saved on the device only, in the app’s local storage. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes it.
- Usage analytics. Google Firebase Analytics receives events such as screens you open, tabs you switch, searches, and movies you open. Firebase also receives its usual technical data, including an app instance ID, device model, operating system version, and approximate location derived from IP address. Google’s policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Notifications. If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging creates a token so the app can receive messages. You can turn notifications off in Android settings.
- Advertising ID. The app includes the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK. That SDK can read the Android advertising ID to show and measure ads. You can reset or delete the advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalization, in Android settings.
- On-device translation. A movie overview can be translated on the phone with Google ML Kit. The text is processed on the device. The app may download a language model to do that.
- Telegram. If you choose a watch action that opens Telegram, that app and its service receive the fact that you opened the link. Telegram’s own privacy policy then applies.
How we use it
- Show movie and TV information, images, and search results.
- Remember a watchlist on your device.
- Run optional account, review, points, and notification features.
- Understand which screens and titles are used, so the app can be fixed and improved.
- Show ads through Google.
- Protect the service against abuse, using the hashed device identifier.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who else receives it
- TMDb receives search text and title requests. TMDb privacy policy.
- Google (Firebase Analytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, AdMob, and ML Kit) processes the analytics, notification, advertising, and on-device translation data described above.
- Wolf Systems services receive account, review, points, and hashed device data when those features are used.
- Telegram only if you open a Telegram link from the app.
Children
DK Play is a general-audience catalog. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
How long we keep it
Watchlist entries and other local app data stay on the device until you remove them, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall DK Play. Account, review, and points data stay on Wolf Systems services until you ask us to delete them or the account is closed. Google keeps analytics, messaging, and ads data under its own retention rules.
Your choices
- Uninstall the app to remove local data.
- Turn off notifications in Android settings.
- Reset or limit the advertising ID in Android settings.
- Email us to ask what account data we hold, to correct it, or to delete it.
Security
The device identifier is hashed before it is used as an account key, and the session token is stored with Android encrypted storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Where data is processed
TMDb and Google may process information on servers outside your country, including the United States. Their safeguards are described in their privacy policies.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. Continued use of DK Play after the new date means the updated policy applies.
